As to the fifteen winners, just an update for you crafty puzzle-solvers, the prizes are being mailed out this week. Sorry for the delay, but I was waiting for a certain package in the mail containing some of the prize material. It arrived Friday, so be watching your mailboxes~! And for those that didn't notice, there is also a contest running right now through HarperCollins where you can win an iPod Shuttle. I have one with me whenever I travel (sometime I'll have to post my music playlist here). Good luck! Next, I've gotten email in the past couple weeks asking for more information about certain details about MAP OF BONES. There are some pictures in the PHOTO section of the site with Egyptian art depicting images of the mysterious gold/white bread of the gods. But one of the most common inquiries I get is about the "liquid body armor" used by Sigma Force in that same book. Is it real? It certainly is. And I want to thank Cherei for a fantastic link to an actual video of the armor in action. Here is the link to the page about the armor and site of the video: LIQUID BODY ARMOR. That's today's update! With BLACK ORDER due out in a week, more and more locations for signings and appearances are being added to my book tour. SO please keep checking the APPEARANCES pages for updates to where to find me! Lastly, there are still more details under wrap. Keep checking here for more exciting news! Oh yeah...I almost forgot Favorite Book of the month: THE BOOK OF THE DEAD by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. This book completes the Pendergast/Diogenes trilogy with a satisfying resolution and a jaw-dropping last line. Of course, I may be a tad prejudiced as at one point Diogenes wanders into an airport bookstore and to quote the novel "was delighted to find that a new James Rollins had been published." So go buy this book in massive quantities. Those two rock!! And since an iPod shuffle is up for grabs... Favorite CD of the Month: Bruce Springsteen The Seeger Sessions
