Disturbing Coincidence
Sometimes life does indeed imitate art. In this case, tragically. I came across this associated press article today that was disturbingly similar to the opening to this summer's book, THE JUDAS STRAIN. If you want a peek into what the new novel might be confronting, I encourage you to check out the article:

Killer Algae haunts California Shores

One of the themes raised in the upcoming book concerns the "devolution" of our oceans into primordial seas of toxic slimes and poisonous algae blooms. As one character in the book comments: "If we keep pushing Nature, sometimes Nature pushes back."

And to quote one other line:

"Remember, we still don't know for sure what killed the dinosaurs."

Let's just hope the REST of the novel does not prove so prophetic.

On a less serious note, I've just returned from a book tour in the Netherlands. I'll post a blog with pictures in the next couple days.

Til then...all the best,
Jim
