Monday, July 09, 2007 Quick Update from the Road I then spent a few days in the San Francisco where a signing at Book Passage in Corte Madera was attended by none other than Susan Tunis, who plays a key role in The Judas Strain. I needled her to no end, but made up for it with a nice dinner afterward. I also visited M is for Mystery Bookstore in San Mateo and Bay Books in Half Moon Bay. I had a great time meeting old friends and new. Then it was on to San Diego, where I did a signing at Borders that put up a fantastic display of the books, which I took a picture of and can be seen here at the top of the post. I also did a signing at one of my favorite bookstores in the world: Mysterious Galaxy. I took a picture of those in attendance with my new iPhone (yes, I'm THAT much of a geek). Next up on the tour: ThrillerFest in New York City! Photos to follow! (I'll also be doing a signing at Borders Books on Park Avenue on Thursday July 12th between 6:00pm and 7:00pm) Lastly, I was emailed the following link to an article from Smithsonian Magazine (thanks again, Jennie!). What a strange bit of serendipity that this month's magazine should cover one of the very places detailed in The Judas Strain. SMITHSONIAN ARTICLE So I'll leave you with that until the next time I drop a note from the road! all the best, Jim R. ![]() |
