Report from the Road

Just popping in here to share a tidbit from the road. Some of you may know that Steve Berry, Brad Thor, and I have a tendency to torture each other while we're on the road. During my book talk at Colorado Springs, I crank-called Steve Berry during the middle of my talk and put him on speaker phone for the audience to listen in. I think I woke him...I fear his vengeance.
But Brad Thor is no better. Here is a picture I took of a very nice display that can be found at Hudson Bookstores in various airports nationwide. This was a photo I took at the Denver location:

I thought it was a great display. But Brad Thor, who is on tour now too for his new book (The Apostle), was kind enough to decorate the same display, one he found at a Hudson's location in Chicago O'Hare airport. He was kind enough to send me a photo:

Revenge will be mine!
From the road
Jim

How funny...if you want to prank Brad, I'll give you my cell phone number and then on the 9th when he's talking at Murder by the book, you can call my cell phone and I'll go up and hand him the phone telling him , its for him.....giggle..that will surely protect you from the same prank on the 14th...LOL

I just returned from a trip between LAX and O'Hare. You all--Steve Berry, you, and Brad Thor--are EVERYWHERE! No need to send those new release emails. Question is who gets the shelf space? The rate you all are pumping them out you may be taking over the stores along with James Patterson's eight novels a year allotment. Keep them coming...

I would do the same thing.... if not just a little....worse.

I think it's great to see 3 of my all-time greatest "dream-team" of authors: Rollins, Berry, Thor--all "play nice" together!! It shows you truly are a "Band of Brothers"! I buy all the novels of all three of you, and I noted with interest the Rollins display picture showed Douglas Preston's & Lincoln Child's "Cemetery Dance" on the display next to the Rollins book as well, since "Cemetery Dance" is now what I am reading and thoroughly enjoying, having just finished the wonderful "Doomsday Key"! Keep up the good work writing, as well as the "hi-jinks", boys...your fans love it as well! Jim M. Gau 7-10-09

I noticed that you and Brad are cross pollinating your characters - you mention Scot Harvath in the Doomsday Key and Brad mentions Painter in the Apostle.
