Story behind this photo: This was taken during a joint event in Phoenix hosted by Poisoned Pen Bookstore. It was a three author event, featuring Clive, me, and Brent Ghelfi (author of the outstanding novel, Volk's Game). During the event, while on stage, I saw Clive was leaning on my poster. I secretly reached into my pocket for my iPhone to take a picture of it--but found my pocket was empty.
